Yanni = A Mastermind

I'm up at 3:30 watching some classical music - and believe me, it's not a bad thing.

I've taken a liking to classical music. Violin's something that I've wanted to get into for years, but have pushed aside. I think I'm finally going to give it a try sometime this year. I've also been wanting to see a TSO performance (it's that glass building that you pass when you're walking on Queen St. from Eaton's). When I was younger, I used to skip through 96.3 (the classical station), but I find myself leaving the dial on that whenever I accidentally pass it.

The violin has got to be most beautiful-sounding instrument I've ever heard in my life. What makes it amazing is that it's only one part of an orchestra. Whoever figured to throw 30-100 musicians who have perfected their craft into one group was an absolute genius.

That is all.

Oh yeah, and enjoy this video :D

Post up some classical vids in the comment section, if you want.

Peace,

  1. I love Yanni, he's an amazing new age composer. So, I don't think I would consider this classical music.

This is classical music. Oh Chopin, how I love and adore you.

  2. You're probably right.

I can't wait 'til I have the time to really start looking into classical music (both literally and historically).

The link doesn't work! Unless you just uploaded it, then I'll try again later

Either way, thanks for the link & I hope to see you posting more. I read through most of your lj...and we agree on about half the things, but are on extreme ends in some other things. Should be good...

You can't copy/paste links into this bar so I had to it manually. :/

Hopefully I typed in the code right this time.

You already read through most of my LJ in an hour? Jeez lol

I'll try to comment more, I just forgot you had this blog, since I use LJ and I don't exactly get updates from blogspot people...Or maybe I can, I have no idea?

You should comment on the posts you are on the other extreme end on, I'd like to see your perspective on the topics.

  4. Ahh, so I got it right when I typed in "Chopin" & clicked the first link :P

Yeah, I got through most of them but couldn't comment/read a couple 'cause I was a bit short-pressed for time. You're still writing quality stuff, my man.

And in light you asking that question, I finally tried to figure out how to add a subscribe feature, so it's now on the upper left side. It can send you e-mails everytime I post. I don't think it updates you with comments, but there's an individual "subscribe by email" button at the bottom of the comments sections.

I couldn't figure out how to subscribe to yours, though, so I just bookmarked it. Any clue how to do it properly?

I'll definitely get through the rest of it + future posts & comments when I can find the time!

    Peace,
